Are you after a new baking recipe but feeling lazy and want to avoid using gold dust (previously known as flour)?

Then you’re going to love this Oreo box cake, because it only requires three items and you don’t even need an oven.

Social media influencer Eloise Head shared the recipe on her Instagram page, where it has since racked up over 46,000 likes.

And we’re not surprised, because it looks pretty damn delicious and it’s super easy to make.

All you need is 750ml of double cream, 50g of icing sugar and ‘roughly’ 60 Oreos, depending on the size of your tin.

Pour the double cream and icing sugar into a bowl, and then whisk until ‘stiff peaks form’, Eloise explains in the video.

‘Then add a thin layer to the base of your cake tin, followed by a layer of Oreos and a thicker layer of cream,’ she adds.

‘Repeat this step two more times, finishing off with a layer of cream and spreading that out evenly.’

Once that’s done, pop the cake into the fridge for four hours and you’re done.

Eloise runs a food content Instagram page called Fitwaffle, where she has 441,000 followers, with an additional 250,000 fans on TikTok.

Usually she shares delectable dishes from food brands and restaurants, but during lockdown, she decided that it was time to reveal her own baking and cooking skills.

‘I started Fitwaffle about four years ago as a page to showcase some of my favourite indulgent foods around the UK and Worldwide,’ she tells Metro.co.uk.

‘When lockdown began, I wanted to do something that would benefit others and give them some enjoyment at home, so I created Fitwafflekitchen.

‘I post a daily recipe video, which is no longer than one minute, along with a list of ingredients so they can make it at home.

‘It’s essential these recipes are simple for people of all ages to want to try them.’

The social media influencer clearly has a thing for Oreos – in addition to the box cake, she’s also made Oreo truffle balls and fudge.

‘Oreos are are generally very popular, so I knew the recipes would be something people would want to try.

‘The Oreo icebox cake is one of my favourites because it looks great and looks like it’s a lot of effort, but it’s deceivingly easy to make!’

We’re sold.
