HAVING mirrors on the walls around your home can be amazing for more than just catching glimpses of your reflection.

Following this smart mirror hack can make your house look a lot more expensive than it is – at a very cheap price point.

A TikToker named Amelia Liana posted a video encouraging people to try her mirror hack to improve the appearance of their homes.

She starts her video by saying: “Changing mirrors changes everything!"

She shows off a lightly gold painted mirror that she says she's had for years, leaning against her wall.

Next, she zooms in on the navy blue Painter's Touch spray paint she ordered to cover her mirror in a new color.

Her reason why? The original gold-colored mirror simply didn’t suit the look of her new home.

Amelia shows her followers how easy it is to cover the mirror in glossy spray paint until all the gold is gone.

Once it's painted and dried, she hangs the full-length mirror up next to her staircase.

Amelia explains that she chose navy blue since the color matches the runner on her staircase.

Next, Amelia shows off a smaller-sized white-colored vintage mirror she purchased.

She spray-painted the mirror with a neutral, salmon color to match her bathroom drawers before hanging it there above the sink.

Making sure the outer edges of your mirrors match some of the furniture or decor inside your home obviously makes a huge difference.

This is such an affordable way to make your home look more expensive for cheap since Painter's Touch spray paint goes for less than $8 on Amazon.

Buying brand new full-length mirrors generally costs between $50 to $180 on Amazon, which means a quick paint job will certainly help you save your money.

Someone in Amelia‘s comment section wrote: “I do this all the time. Just painted a frame cream and speckled gold over it to match my hallway.”
