Coronation Street star Mollie Gallagher took a tumble as she continues rehearsals for Dancing On Ice.

The soap star, 25, is currently in rehearsals for Dancing On Ice 2023, where she'll be performing with skating partner Sylvain Longchambon, 42.

However, poor Mollie found herself crashing into the ice as she tried to perfect her skating skills ahead of the competition kick off in January.

Dressed in a pink jumper, black leggings and white skating boots, Mollie was lifted into the air by her dance partner, but found herself skidding to the floor not long after.

Taking a departure from her day job playing Nina Lucas on Corrie, Mollie looked a little disheartened to find herself on the floor, but soon picked herself up to carry on with rehearsals.

The star confirmed reports that she would be appearing on the celebrity dance competition a couple of months ago, admitting she was not the "most coordinated" person.

Appearing live on Lorraine back in October, the Nina Lucas star revealed that she is set to swap the cobbles for the ice rink.

Mollie excitedly said: "I'm really excited. I've not really felt nervous yet but being here today I'm feeling it."

And on seeking advice from her Coronation Street co-stars, Mollie said: “I’ll be getting all the tips I can because I’m going to need it!”

She also commented on how she managed to keep it a secret before the show line-up was revealed, saying: "I have managed to keep it secret but I can tell everyone now."

Mollie added: "I'm not the most coordinated but I don't want to spend my life being like I can't do this I can't do that."

Mollie will join stars including actress Patsy Palmer, John Fashanu, Olympic Gymnast Nile Wilson and Love Island winner Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu on next year’s show which is set to begin in January.

Other stars confirmed for the 2023 series include Joey Essex, RuPaul's Drag Race star The Vivienne, comedian Darren Harriot and Michelle Heaton.

While it’s not clear how much Mollie is being paid for her time on the show, Ekin-Su’s alleged salary has been revealed.

A source claimed: "Bosses were desperate to sign Ekin-Su, so they paid her £100,000 to sign on the dotted line.

"As a comparison, Love Island stars would normally command something in the region of £30 to 50k for the show, so this is a huge deal for Ekin-Su."

They told told The Sun: "Producers felt she was well worth every penny though – she is one of the most popular winners in Love Island history, winning with a landslide of votes, she's got a great personality and she's stunning to boot so they're confident her cheque will be reflected in the ratings."
