Jessica Simpson suffered a serious health scare when pregnant with her youngest child Birdie.

“Her oxygen levels were dropping,” the singer, 41, told Bloomberg this week. “I couldn’t breathe.”

Simpson said she had been diagnosed with severe bronchitis when she was 34 weeks pregnant with her third child, and was even on a breathing machine at the hospital.

“I was 260 pounds,” she explained. “She was a very big baby. We were like, ‘Just take her out.’”

However, Birdie was not delivered that day and Simpson told her followers about the scary ordeal once she was back home.

“After a week in the hospital for bronchitis (my fourth time in 2 months), I’m finally home!,” the “Take My Breath Away” singer shared on Instagram in March 2019. “Coughing with Birdie has been a crazy painful journey. I am slowly getting healthier every day.”

“Baby girl was monitored and is doing amazing! ??” she continued. “I am on my way to healthy and counting down the days to see her sweet smile. Sending love and prayers to all the mothers who are going or have gone through this. OUCH.”

Simpson had a separate health issue two months prior to that hospitalization. The Jessica Simpson Collection CEO had severely swollen feet and pleaded online for help.

“Any remedies?!” the “Dukes of Hazards” actress asked at the time. “Help!!!!”

Simpson and her husband, Eric Johnson, finally welcomed Birdie Mae in late March 2019.

The couple, who wed in 2014, are also parents to daughter Maxwell, 9, and son Ace, 8.

Just six months after having their youngest, Simpson revealed she had gotten back in shape and lost 100 pounds.
