Naturally, the £100,000 prize pot that gets distributed to the gaffers who place in the top five come the end of the season is the ultimate goal.

And you no doubt many of you will have your eyes on mini-league glory to claim bragging rights over your mates.

But since both of those are contested over the entire season, we decided to introduce monthly prizes to provide some more immediate gratification.

And they start this month with a PlayStation 5 up for grabs for whoever tops the standings at the end of August – at an RRP of £449!

Those monthly prizes will continue all season, keeping interest in the game high throughout the entire campaign.

The prize for each month will updated in the Dream Team rules at least seven days before the monthly competition opens.

So if your strikers start the season with a cold streak or injury disrupts your side, don’t worry, there’s every reason to keep playing.
