Season two of Bridgerton has finally landed on Netflix today, Friday 25th March and we are so excited about its return.

It feels like ages since we finished binge watching the first series of the hit romantic period drama meaning we are well overdue our next dose of scandal and sexual conflict.

One thing we’re particularly looking forward to seeing besides all of the handsome chaps and romantic goings on is the incredible Regency outfits from American costume designer Ellen Mirojnick – she did a stand out job last season so we have high hopes for the next too.

While most of the actors and actresses loved playing dress up in their new roles, Nicola Coughlan, who plays Penelope Featherington actually had a hard time when she first got into her costume.

In an interview on BBC’s The One Show the actress explained “Ellen Mirojnick, who is the costume designer on season one, said "you're tiny, you're too small so we're gonna put you in heels"

'And I was just terrified to get fired because I couldn't believe my luck at getting the job. I said "yes, absolutely". If they were like you have to wear a giant clown suit I would have been like "I would love that, yes please”.

'So I agreed to wear these crazy heels, and then on my first day on set we were walking around and I toppled over not once, not twice, but three times.’

She continued to explain how she thought the producers would think she was drunk or crazy.

Soon after, top bosses of the hit show cut the wardrobe choice of heels for Nicola as she couldn’t wear them and put her in something a little more practical to play her part.

We were certainly not surprised to hear this after the Bridgerton actress was spotted bare foot when exiting the BAFTA afterparty on March 13.

The 35 year old was seen leaving The Chiltern Firehouse in London around 4am with her white stiletto heels in her hands. after partying the night away with fellow BAFTA guests.

It seems that wearing heels are not this lady's forte.

Nicola wore a silver embellished dress which featured a white lace chest panel and side slits at the hem from Christopher Kane for the prestigious event, teaming it with a circular glitter bag.

We are super excited for the show to air and we hope you enjoy it too – let us know your thoughts?
