Princess Alexandra’s granddaughter Flora Ogilvy originally married in a coronavirus-secure wedding last year. However, Flora got to celebrate her nuptials today with a church blessing, attended by Prince Edward and the Countess of Wessex. Flora Ogilvy, 26, tied the knot with Swedish financier Timothy Vesterberg, 28, at St James’s Palace today.

The bride donned a stunning floor-length lace gown by Phillipa Lepley and opted for a glittering floral diamond tiara.

Prince Edward and Sophie Wessex beamed at cameras as they arrived.
Sophie cut an effortlessly elegant figure in her raspberry pink midi gown.

The Countess opted for a stunning baby pink midi dress for the occasion, which she paired with nude heels and a floral fascinator.

This dress was a recycled Emilia Wickstead pink ‘Mimi’ dress, which the Countess actually already owned.

It is a custom version of the ‘Mimi’, and Sophie originally wore it to Ascot back in 2018.

The pretty bubble gum pink colour has amazed royal fans, as well as the ruffle neckline and puff sleeves.

The signature textured material makes it instantly recognisable, and the Countess certainly did not disappoint at the royal wedding.

Sophie and Edward, who are believed to have spent the past month in Balmoral with the Queen, appeared happy to be catching up with friends and family at the event.

The Countess of Wessex was chic in a raspberry pink gown for the occasion while Prince Edward donned a colourful floral tie.

Royal fans were impressed with Sophie’s royal wedding attire.

One such fan commented on Twitter saying: “The Countess of Wessex – I liked her look so much.

“The Countess has so much love from me!”

Flora’s grandmother Princess Alexandra also donned pink for her granddaughter’s big day, wearing a smart blazer and polka dot dress which she paired with cream accessories.

The royal, 83, is a first cousin and close confidante of the Queen and has spent the last 60 years dedicating her life to royal duty.

The Queen’s first cousin, who was a bridesmaid at her wedding to Prince Philip in 1947, has carried out thousands of duties over the years.

Flora announced the news of the wedding in September 2020 with an Instagram post in which she said: “We are truly overjoyed and look forward to celebrating next year.”

The low-key couple live and work in London, where Flora joins the Royal Family on the balcony at Buckingham Palace at Trooping The Colour each year, and also works as an art consultant.

Born in Edinburgh, Flora grew up in eastern Scotland, before her parents moved to Nantucket where they now live.

The couple had a whirlwind romance after meeting and announcing their engagement in November 2019.

Sharing the news of her engagement on Instagram, Flora posted: “We’re engaged!

“My beloved Timothy asked me to marry him and we’re blissfully happy.”
