IT’S can be difficult to keep up with the beauty trends these days.

Especially as social media is constantly bringing you new and improved tips on improving your beauty regime.

However, Nick Lujan, who is Kevyn Aucoin Beauty’s Global Director of Artistry, is here to set the record straight about one thing, and that’s mascara.

He has revealed some surprising tips that everyone should be doing when applying their mascara and the things that you should try and avoid too.

He says that the mascara needs to have a perfect sized brush for styling your lashes.

And one that Nick reckons is perfect for this is ‘tubing mascara’.

The 'tubing' in fact refers to the way the formula coats and removes from the lashes.

While most products cover a lash in pigment, these wrap a load of micro-fibres (or polymers) around them, forming a 'tube' of mascara around your lashes

Nick adds: “The tubing mascara by Kevyn Aucoin Beauty, which is smudge-resistant, long-wearing and ultra-volumising, giving you va-va-voom lashes.

“Infused with bold pigments, volume building fibres and Jojoba Oil, the ground-breaking formula is designed to thicken, separate, and lengthen the lashes whilst delivering intense moisture and shine from root to tip.

“Housed in a cylindrical tube, which prevents clumping, the straight brush allows easy application and evenly coats lashes individually for an effortlessly dramatic look that lasts all day.

“It is great for smaller eyes, hooded lids, and applying mascara to the bottom lashes.

“This pioneer tubing formula, coats your lashes 360 degrees and wears all day without flaking or travelling.

“To remove, use warm water in the shower and gently rub your lashes. You will notice that it comes off in little tubes (husks, straws) that is why it is called a tubing mascara.”

Nick continues: “Volume Mascara has the perfect sized brush for styling your lashes.

“The precision brush is ideal for all eye shapes. It’s the perfect size for smaller eyes, hooded lids, and applying mascara to the bottom lashes, and even your inner corner lashes.”

Nick has also explained the best way to remove mascara as well without damaging your lashes.

He adds: “To remove, use warm water in the shower and gently rub your lashes.

“You will notice that it comes off in little tubes, similar to a piece of straw – that’s why it’s called a tubing mascara.”
