WHEN we treat ourself to a new set of nails, we expect to leave feeling chuffed with our chosen design.

But unfortunately for one woman, she had a rather different experience following a trip to her local salon.


From diamonds and swirls to intricate florals, there's plenty of options to choose from when it comes to nail art.

So Selma, who is from Germany, felt pretty confident the nail technician could achieve her desired look when she opted for something nice and simple.

Taking to TikTok, Selma shared her inspo snap which featured a simple French manicure design, with pastel pink tips.

But while it looked pretty simple to recreate, the expert seemed to have great difficulty replicating the design.

That's if the finished result is anything to go by…

Sharing a snap of the very different design she was left with, Selma was shocked to find her nails with thick and wonky pink tips and even a blooded little finger.

And it wasn't long before her social media followers took to the comments section to comment on her nail disaster.

"I'm crying for you," wrote one.
