CHOOSING a name for a child is a big decision, one that puts a lot of pressure on parents.
You want to give your child a name that you will love and one that they will be proud of.
Many parents will have baby name ideas in mind, but if they don’t, many may turn to baby name books or friends and family for ideas.
While some may choose a traditional name for their child, others may want to give their son or daughter a name that is slightly more unique.
And that’s exactly what one TikTok mum has done.
One mum has revealed that she looked to her favourite snack for inspiration for her daughter’s name.

Chantel Schnider took to TikTok to explain her unique choice of baby anime.
She said: “I’m going to get hate for her name but we will call her… Pickle.”
In the video we see Chantel happily eating pickles from a jar as she shows off her baby bump.
Later in the video, she fast forwards to when her daughter is born as she says “meet Pickle.”

Many of us will have had nicknames as children, and as nicknames go, Pickle is a common one.
But in Chantel’s videos, she confirmed that Pickle is her daughter’s registered name.

Chantel’s video has clearly impressed many as it has racked up a whopping 10.5million views.
However, as Chantel expected, people weren’t keen on her choice of baby name, with many taking to the comments to express this.
One person said: “Don’t be surprised when she comes back from school crying.”
Another added: “And she will impatiently wait to grow up so she can change it.”
A third commented: “Why did you do this.”
Another user stated: “Pickle is a a cute for a pet… BUT A CHILD!”
However, there were some TikTokers that liked the name and thought it was sweet.
