Luke Meier‘s label OAMC has made a name for itself with its seasonal collections and collaborations — most notably unveiling the SS22 range just last week and another adidas Originals partnership last month — but to those in the know, its Peacemaker Liner jackets are something of a must-have unicorn for those who seek future grails. Now, following on from its first SS21 drop, comes a duo of Peacemaker Liners under the brand’s “DOT” vision.

Available in black or burgundy, the “DOT” Peacemaker Liner features the classic quilted design with a tackle twill Peacemaker logo and OAMC logo embroidery on the back, and as a new addition, a bright purple or yellow dot on the front (appearing on the black and burgundy colorway, respectively).

The dot is inspired by John Baldessari’s artworks and color palette, who often covered faces with circular adhesive dots in works from the mid-1980s and beyond to not deface the subject, but to distract us from the obvious and make us focus on other defining characteristics such as body language or setting.

Each piece is one-of-a-kind as they’re actually vintage U.S. military surplus M-65 liner jackets that have been overdyed and reworked by OAMC, giving the jackets a unique finish so that no one is the same. Coupled with the “Peacemaker” message — that being to spread “the message of caring and action towards social, environmental, and political issues” — each coat is a rare and special piece to come from the OAMC brand and is unarguably a future grail.

Available in limited quantities, the “DOT” Peacemaker Liners in black and burgundy will drop on the OAMC website on July 8 at 10 a.m. CET/4 a.m. ET.
