After announcing the official launch date of Salehe Bembury’s “Water Be the Guide” 2002R, New Balance is now readying an in-line launch of its own with its deconstructed 2002R “Protection Pack”.

Set to drop in the near future, this three-piece sneaker capsule is made up of three muted colorways dubbed “Rain Cloud”, “Phantom” and “Sea Salt” which adorns a 2002R like no other. Roughly cut suede paneling features on the upper and is layered to create a rough and deconstructed look, all of which sits atop the classic ABZORB midsole and N-ergy outsole.

An open foam tongue further enhances the sneaker’s deconstructed vibe, while leather detailing on the heel and premium textile lining makes the 2002R “Protection Pack” as comfy as it is unique.

With details on the exact release date set to drop in the near future, New Balance’s 2002R “Protection Pack” will be available from asphaltgold and will retail at €149 (approximately $180 USD).

In other sneaker news, Kawhi Leonard’s New Balance KAWHI is set to release in a currency-centric “New Money” colorway.
