Maison2500 only goes when he’s ready. The Nigerian artist, who’s splits time between there and London, is back with his head-spinning new video, directed by Nick Freeman for the haunting 2AAB-produced track, “x2 Much Dope.” Earlier this year, OVO’s own cosigned Maison, a frequent Lancey Foux and Cruel Santino collaborator, featuring him on their “Sound 42” Sirius XM show, curated by Oliver El-Khatib and GoHomeRoger.

The Lagos-based rapper burst onto the scene, octane-blazing with “Dirty Fanta” which showcased him and fellow Nigerian artist Odunsi (the engine) taking the new wave by storm last year, and now he’s followed up his latest single “X2 Much Dope,” creating a universe-expanding visual. Glissading over the spooky synth in blurred muscle cars, Maison2500 takes a ride from the underworld all the way to the surface, putting his range on full display when he switches bats for his high-pitched croon. The sinister atmosphere captures Maison’s aura fittingly, racing through tunnels, infiltrating the infamous LES skate park and raging with friends, “I black out the noise, I ride in a ’Vette/I’m Vetements walking!”

Maison2500 has most recently been spotted in New York City and Los Angeles putting the final touches on his sophomore album “Maseverse”, which already features Methamphetamine, expected to deliver before end of the year.
