Kenny Beats has linked with rising Michigan rapper Since99 for a collaborative track entitled “Mutombo,” out today, alongside an official music video.

Shot in New York City, the visual sees Since99, whose real name is Jade Collins, roam the city with his crew, sporting Men in Black-esque ensembles and yielding futuristic weapons. Directed by B. Picasso, the footage is interspersed with swift highlights of the NBA legend Dikembe Mutombo, after which the song is named, as Collins raps over the video with a distinct staggered but clean flow.

Before the two got a chance to meet in-person for studio sessions in Los Angeles, the foundation of their collaboration was cemented over Instagram. After Collins’ single “Immaculate” first went viral last year, Beats shot the 21-year-old rapper a DM offering support and looking to collaborate. That same night, Since99 recorded “Mutombo” to a beat that the producer sent over, bringing onboard engineer Alex Tumay for mixing.

Since99 also recently put out the single “Gated Community” and is working on an upcoming project set for release later this summer.
