San Fransisco-based GX1000 isn’t “skate-influenced” or “skate-inspired”: they’re a pure, proper skate brand through and through — even their name is inspired by the Sony VX1000 camcorder that revolutionized skate filmmaking in the ’90s — and that ethos is on full display with their just-released Holiday 2023 collection. An elevated-yet-irreverent collection of fleece, jackets, cardigans and more, with plenty of prints and patterns, the offering is a healthy helping of colder weather-ready gear with a few short-sleeved surprises mixed in as well.
Captured in lookbook images shot by photographer and BMX legend Edwin De La Rosa, the offering includes a set of sweaters with a Romanistic print of a kneeling angel, a plaid zip-up fleece jacket, and a cardigan with a blocky geometric print. A duo of jerseys are included as well, one with an all-over abstract graphic plus a polo-style collar and the other of which features a full-color artwork print and a football-style collar. Last but not least, there’s also a selection of staple GX1000 graphic sweatshirts.
Expect the collection to touch down on the GX1000 webstore today, November 7, at 11 AM PST, and arrive at the brand’s stockists in the coming days as well.
