Charlotte Richie (Ghosts, Fresh Meat) plays Mae’s new girlfriend George, with Lisa Kudrow (yes, she of Friends fame) providing a perfect comedy turn as Mae’s caring but fed-up mum. As well as providing the laughs, the series also explores gender, identity, sexuality and mental health. The second season moved to Netflix, but season one is still available to watch on All 4.
