Daniel Arsham continues to expand his exploration of furniture design together with Friedman Benda as he looks to release his Dino chair in new tones. The New York artist previously presented his Objects for Living: Collection II at Design Miami 2019 with inspiration taken from the flexible sculpting quality of Play-Doh.

Within the collection, the Dino chair was initially showcased in a wood-like pattern similar to a shade of Maple. Arsham opted to shape the dining chair with more curvature and blurred edges to keep a raw minimalistic aesthetic — veering away from his known corroded style seen with his sculptures. Taking a closer look at the Instagram post by Arsham Living, the upcoming release includes new colorways of the seat in Meranti, Grey Ash and Pine-like hues. A blue and purple edition may also be included in the mix as spotted in Arsham’s private exhibition space in Bridgehampton.

Further information on the new iterations of the Dino chair is yet to be announced.
