Fashion guru Trinny Woodall, 57, showed her fans the hair she had lost so far, which she has been collecting in a jar at home. In view of her 920,000 followers, she put her hands through her tresses to show her followers the strands falling out in clumps.

She explained: “I started to get – I don’t know if you can see here how much hair I’m getting each time I do that but like this.

“I’m just collecting my hair at the moment.”

The mother-of-one then showed fans a jar with her hair in.

“There will probably be more hair in this than there is on my head soon,” she added.

Trinny went on to say she had decided to share her experience with fans to ease her mind.

The presenter contracted coronavirus three months ago and is now taking supplements.

She has since contacted a trichologist for advice in a bid to understand the link between hair loss and Covid, but has been advised to contact a dermatologist instead.

Trinny went on to say she believes her hair loss is due to coronavirus and stress, not the menopause.

According to Healthline.com, doctors believe there could be a link between Covid and hair loss.

They explained emotional stress stemmed from the virus may lead to a reversible hair loss condition called Telogen effluvium.

The condition is known to occur a few months after a stressful event.

Trinny added: “I’m being sarcastic because I don’t want to get stressed by it but I do want to have an action plan and I want to chat to you about it and I just thought, what always eases my mind is sharing.”
