Dr Zoe Williams, 41, had been looking forward to a much-needed holiday to visit her partner Stuart McKay’s family in Spain. However, the trip did not go smoothly as chaos ensued while trying to make their flight this morning.

Taking to her Instagram Story, the This Morning star detailed the issues her, Stuart and their newborn baby Lisbon encountered on their journey to the airport.

She wrote: “So we finally did it!

“After over a year, booked our flights, got the boy a passport, and we are off to Spain to visit Stuart’s brother and family!!

“Well so far we have made it to the airport and it’s been a comedy of errors.

“1. Train cancelled. 2. Stuart had booked tomorrow night at airport hotel. 3. Fire alarm and hotel evacuated at 2.30am 4. What next?”

“So it’s 3.30am and were sat drinking coffee waiting for check in to open in two hours,” she added.

Finally, the family made it on their EasyJet flight and Dr Zoe expressed her relief with a cute photo of the trio boarding the plane.

However, the trip did not come without extra costs as the mum-of-one shared it was the “most expensive trip” to Spain they had been on.

She wrote: “Made it on the plane, so many never agains!

“Annoying thing is this is already the most expensive trip to Spain I have ever made.”

Dr Zoe and her partner Stuart brought their baby boy on This Morning for the first time in July.

The medic who announced she had given birth on Instagram in June, introduced her son, Lisbon Lion, to Holly Willoughby, Phillip Schofield and viewers at home and confirmed the sweet meaning behind his name

“So he’s Lisbon Lion, explain the name,” Phil said.

“The first part’s easy,” Stuart said. “We met in Lisbon 20 something months ago so that was on the list of names right from the beginning.

“And when he was born we just had to figure out if he could pull it off, it’s a pretty brave name, but he can, look at him.”

Dr Zoe then said of his middle name: “Lion, we always associate our relationship with lions, mummy lion, daddy lion, so we thought he’s our little lion.”

While ITV’s resident doctor wanted to have a water birth at home, things didn’t go quite as planned with Lisbon arriving 10 days before Zoe’s due date.

Unprepared, the pair revealed how Stuart had to pump water from their bath into the pool, which they also filled up using pots and pans and even welcomed the little one before the midwife arrived.

Zoe said: “The midwife wasn’t there, I mean we planned to have a midwife, we wanted to have one there but things progressed so quickly.

“I went into labour at midnight, he was born just before 10:30am and I think all of us thought, including myself, you know, first baby this is going to take a long time.

“But when things were sort of really revving up we got in touch with the midwives but they didn’t get there until in 25 minutes after, which meant it was just us.”
