Prince Harry has reportedly "banned" comedian and actor Jack Whitehall from seeing him after he made a joke calling the Royal "Ginger Nuts".

The 33 year old Jungle Cruise star recently revealed that comments made at the 2015 Royal Variety Show may have led to him being blacklisted from seeing his old friend.

What's more, Jack claimed he wasn't invited to 37 year old Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding in 2018 as a result.

The stand-up comic explained as part of his How To Survive The Summer Holidays tour with his parents Michael, 81, and Hilary, 59, according to The Mirror.

The star's dad began: “Jack, I read a book recently and it changed my life. I put this book down and I thought I must become a writer myself.

"This book is called The Bench and it’s written by Meghan Markle," Michael teased, going on to goad his son: "That is your friend Harry.

"Except you are not allowed to see him anymore. You have been banned… ostracised from the Sussexes.”

Carrying on the joke, Jack agreed: “I think I have been banned because I called him 'Ginger Nuts’ at the Royal Variety."

The star had mocked the Duke of Sussex's single life during the show seven years ago, and even offered to be his "wingman".

The Royal event took place a year before Harry started dating 40 year old former actress Meghan, who is now the mother of his two children Archie, two, and Lilibet, nine months.

But while Jack claimed he used to be friends with the Duke, he didn't receive an invitation to the Royal wedding, which took place three years later.

OK! has contacted a representative for the Sussexes for comment.

What's more, during the same show Jack joked about going to school with Kate Middleton, who was also in the audience at the time.

The comedian admitted the Duchess of Cambridge was his "first ever crush," which reportedly didn't land well with the Royal couple.

“We were actually at school together. This is true. We were at the same school. I was a bit younger than you, but this is the first time I’ve seen you since school, so hello," Jack said, directly addressing the Duchess in the audience.

“I don’t know whether it’s appropriate given the circumstances, but you were probably my first ever crush. Okay, definitely inappropriate. Your Highness is giving me a very sharp look," the star teased.

Speaking on The Jonathan Ross Show at a later date, Jack claimed Prince William had pulled him aside after the show.

"William came over and he was very funny," he told the presenter. "Because he was very nice, but very passive-aggressive. ‘Oh so you were flirting with my missus? Oh no, no, that was very, very funny’," the star added.

During the 2015 show, Prince Harry was also famously pictured with Little Mix, and Jade Thirlwall has recently revealed the rest of the band tried to set her up with the prince at the time.
