Love Island winner Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu has heartbreakingly revealed the price of fame, as she admitted that she is often “overwhelmed” even to the point of tears, as a result of her celebrity status.

The 28 year old, who is currently the face of clothing brand Oh Polly, made the emotional admission in a recent interview with The Sun, as she revealed the unseen side of her celebrity lifestyle.

“Sometimes I feel sad,” admitted Ekin-Su. “I'll have a moment and feel really emotional. Then I'll see Davide and he'll tell me I'm doing really well and that helps.

“It can just be overwhelming. Sometimes it's tears of joy. “

The glamorous bombshell, who boasts an Instagram following of around 3.2million users, frequently engages with her fans online, but often finds the experience of connecting with everyone to be particularly daunting.

"People will ask advice. Someone who was so close to taking their own life messaged me on Instagram. I reached out and it stopped. That made me sad,” she admitted.

Describing her celebrity status as a “lot of pressure” Ekin-Su also went on to praise her boyfriend Davide Sanclimenti, for “supporting her emotionally”, something she feels we didn’t get to see much of during her time in the villa.

The duo famously won the ITV2 show earlier this Summer, with their blossoming romance growing from strength to strength since leaving the sun soaked shores of Mallorca.

The likeable couple have been such fan favourites in fact, that they’ve even bagged their own ITV spin-off documentary series, Ekin-Su & Davide: Homecomings.

In the upcoming series, fans will see the couple embark on two life changing trips to Davide’s beloved Italy and Ekin-Su’s own hometown in Turkey, with both Islanders connecting with the culture, history and cuisine of each nation.

Announcing their documentary earlier this year, Davide told The Big Breakfast, : “I can tell you this. We are going on a road trip to Italy and Turkey so one week in Italy, one week in Turkey.”

“We are going to be on ITV2 so it’s going to be like our own programme.”

Ekin-su then added: “It will be all real, fighting, I’ll be cooking for him, he’ll be cooking for me. It’ll be two cultures meeting families.”

She then jokingly commented: “I’ve been shouting at Davide everyday!”
