Jennifer Lopez is still keeping us somewhat in the dark about her relationship with Ben Affleck, choosing to swerve a question about their reconciliation in a new interview.

Bennifer recently got back together 17 years after their split and have been inseparable, regularly pictured putting on loved-up displays.

However, when confronted about their obvious romance in an interview with Today’s Hoda Kotb, Jennifer chose to remain schtum.

Speaking to both Jen and Hamilton’s Lin-Manuel Miranda about their new single, Hoda said: ‘You look happier. Look, I just have to tell you, every time I see a picture of you and Ben, I’m like, “She looks happier, she looks happier”. Are we happier?’

Jennifer replied coyly: ‘I’m always happy when I see you Hoda.’

The news anchor wasn’t letting it go though and reminded her of their friendship, adding: ‘Wait, it’s me you’re talking to, you know that.’

‘I know,’ Jennifer replied, adding: ‘You can call me. You have my number.’

Choosing instead to redirect the conversation to her new music, the Love Don’t Cost A Thing hitmaker said: ‘The song is out, five years since we done it and I believe that the message of loving one another and coming together – and love – is never more real than it is right now.’

Jennifer, 51, and Ben, 48, originally began dating in 2002 and got engaged before ending their relationship just days before the wedding. Sources claim they have been friendly for years but began to speak more via email earlier this year, months before she split from fiance Alex Rodriguez in April.

They went public with their revived romance in June when they were pictured kissing at a family dinner for Jennifer’s sister’s birthday party.

In a recent interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1, Jennifer echoed her sentiments about being happy and said: ‘I know people are always wondering. How are you? What’s going on? Are you okay? This is it. I’ve never been better.

‘I want my people who care about me because I care about them so much, to know that I’ve really gotten to a place in my life where I’m great on my own. I think once you get to that place, then amazing things happen to you that you never imagine in your life happening again, and so that is where I’m at.’

The entertainer added: ‘I love all the love that’s coming my way right now and all of the good wishes. I just want everybody to know that it’s the best time. It’s the best time of my life.’
