Alexandra Burke posted a rare snap of her baby as she posed in front of her huge Christmas tree at her home on Friday.

The 34 year old has been careful not to share too much of her little one, since welcoming her first child in July, but thought the festive season was the perfect occasion to reveal a little glimpse to followers.

In the photo shared on Instagram Stories, Alexandra is seen pushing her tot in a black pram in her giant living room, decked with high white beamed ceilings and a grey carpet fitted on the floor.

Alexandra is seen beaming whilst stood next to her Christmas tree, towering above her, with white and gold tinsel and bauble decorations.

The X Factor star is seen sporting a casual ensemble in the picture of a black and white jumper with black leggings and matching panelled trainers, and has her braided hair tied up in a bun.

Alexandra revealed in October that she had decided to keep the gender of her baby a secret to “protect” her child.

She said on Loose Women at the time: “I’ve never really spoken about this but, obviously, I come from X Factor and that's a public show and I'm very grateful for the platform, it's made me who I am today.”

“I hate getting emotional talking about this but I asked for all this, my family never.

"The impact on them is hard. And I want to protect the baby as much as I can."

Alexandra shares her first child with West Ham star Darren Randolph.

The new mum was recently slammed by Ulrika Jonsson for her decision in keeping her child’s gender a secret, as the presenter called her an “attention-seeker”.

Ulrika, 55, said in her column for The Sun: "Announcing you’re pregnant and then shutting the door of access to your life for those who have hitherto cared about your journey, supported you or are just plain nosey, isn’t on.

"For me, it attracts far more attention than leaving the door ajar and letting people know you’ve had a girl or a boy.

"Maybe that was the point, says the cynic in me."

Speaking about motherhood on Loose Women, Alexandra shared that her “life is changed” and its “the happiest I've ever been.”

"It's overwhelming, you can’t put it into words,” she added on the show.
