Alex Scott loses focus as Lionesses score
Alex Scott has reacted to Gabby Logan’s “savage” comment towards English footballer Fara Williams, taking to Twitter, also known as X, to share her view.
Fara was about to receive a coveted Blue Peter sports badge, designed by fellow female footie legend Leah Williamson – the woman who famously led Britain to its Euro 2022 victory.
However, Gabby teasingly suggested that Fara had “cheated” her way to getting her hands on a badge, leading to a visibly shocked reaction from open-mouthed Alex.
Now, the 38-year-old TV host has reacted with a tears of laughter emoji, telling her 431,000 followers: “Poor @fara_williams47.”
The video clip had originally been published on Match of the Day’s account, with a warning that read: “This was savage from @GabbyLogan.”

“I think Alex is going to be our Blue Peter badge model – designed by none other than Lionesses’ legend Leah Williamson,” Gabby had begun, as the trio sat in the studio together.
“Now to get the sport badge, Fara, do you want to know what you’ve got to do?” she quizzed.
“Please, I’ve never…” Fara began, only to be cut off by Gabby, who reasoned: “You two both have a Blue Peter badge.”
“I don’t, so I now have one,” the footballer reasoned, only for Gabby to shoot back: “Yeah but you’ve cheated to get that…”

Alex’s mouth hung open as she listened to the teasing banter on set.
“You’ve got that just by virtue of sitting in this studio but the kids at home will know how they can get their badge,” Gabby went on.
Instagrammers shared the joke, declaring the comment “brutal”, while @Sam_Chaplin quizzed: “But how do we get the badge? I’m curious now!”
The Blue Peter badge is awarded to children aged between five and 15 as an acknowledgment when they agree to get active and be introduced to a new sport.
The latest design includes a variety of choices, including a football, rugby ball, cricket ball, tennis ball and even a badminton shuttlecock.
The show’s history of producing badges for kids in sport goes way back to 1963, and Blue Peter is currently celebrating the 60th year anniversary of the tradition.
Meanwhile, over on Twitter (X), the laughs continued over the shade Fara received, with @lisaxena admitting: “I laughed out loud so much at that rewound it a few times – great!”
@bassline74 chimed in: “Gabby, that was hilariously brutal.”
It isn’t the first time that the pair have publicly shared banter, with Fara joking to Gabby after the semi-final of the Women’s World Cup that she could “take your job” as an interviewer.
