WITH Christmas just around the corner, huge estate and country manors are announcing their festive light shows and events.
We've rounded up the very best ones which even include hot chocolates, carol services and Santa meets.
1. Christmas at Killerton, Exeter
New for 2021, the Exeter light trial not only features amazing lighting but also includes some of the best seasonal carols along the way.
The trees will also have lanterns and baubles throughout the National Trust's Killerton, and there may even be an appearance from Santa.
Christmas at Killerton will run from November 26, 2021 to January 2, 2022.
2. Christmas at Kingston Lacy, Dorset
Also new for 2021, the National Trust Kingston Lacy in Dorset has their own light trail this year.
The country mansion grounds will be transformed into a winter wonderland, including rainbow Christmas trees and street food stands with classic warming snacks and drinks.
Christmas at Kingston Lacy will run from December 3, 2021 to January 2, 2022.
3. Christmas at Blenheim Palace, Oxon
Returning to Blenheim Palace this year is their illuminated trail with stars and baubles and a rainbow effect in the laser garden as well as a new walking route through the South Lawn.
Inside the palace has also been transformed – each room is themed such as a toymaker's workshop and a candy-cane Kingdom of Sweets – there are also wooden chalets with food, drinks and gifts.
Christmas at Blenheim Palace will run from November 9, 2021 to January 2, 2022.
4. Christmas at Stourhead, Wiltshire
The National Trust’s Stourhead’s gardens will have a family-friendly magical trail this year with illuminations, neon lights and a seasonal soundtrack.
You can also warm up with hot chocolate and toasted marshmallows from some of the on-site food stalls.
Christmas at Stourhead runs from November 26, 2021 to January 2, 2022.
5. Christmas at Bedgebury, Kent
Now in its fourth year, the after-dark light trail returns to Bedgebury with a one-mile magical winter trail is a place where fairy-tale meets fantasy.
Giant colour changing lilies, fields of light and lantern trees will be scattered across the estate along the way.
Christmas at Bedgebury runs from November 19, 2021 to January 2, 2022.
6. Christmas at Kew, London
The most well-known in the UK, Christmas at Kew is back, with a tunnel of light, huge illuminations as well as flame effects in the Fire Garden.
You can even spot Santa wandering around, so make sure to say hello.
Christmas at Kew runs from November 17, 2021 to January 9, 2022.
7. Christmas at Wimpole, Royston
The Wimpole Estate grounds will be transformed into a winter wonderland with a new light trail this Christmas.
The walk will have afairy glen, Christmas music playing along the way and a lot of mistletoe to sneak a kiss underneath.
Christmas at Wimpole runs from November 26, 2021 to January 2, 2022.
8. Christmas at Belton, Lincolnshire
National Trust’s Belton House in Lincolnshire is bringing back their Illuminated Trail this year with more than a million lights.
Look out for the Carol of the Bells which will light up the sky with colour changing spheres of light and the Triangulate Tunnel where moving lights, colours and patterns dance in time to the music.
Christmas at Belton runs from November 25, 2021 to January 2, 2022.
9. Christmas at Delamere Forest, Cheshire
A new Christmas trail with illuminations and Christmas tunes is opening at Forestry England’s Delamere Forest in Cheshire this year,
The family-friendly trail features dragonflies, singing trees and shimmering reflections.
Christmas at Delamere Forest runs from November 26 to December 31, 2021.
10. Christmas at Temple Newsam, Leeds
Leeds' new magical trail at Temple Newsam this year will transform the grounds and gardens featuring spectacular light installations and colour changing spheres, neon strings stretched between trees and a flotilla of brightly coloured boats on the lake.
There will be lots of perfect picture moments along the way too, including with some of the sparkly glitterball snowmen.
