A MUM has praised a beach in the centre of a city that has entertainment for both kids and adults.

For people who don't live near the coast, a day at the beach normally requires a lot of travelling.

However, for those in North London, there's an option much closer to home.

The Beach Brent Cross is now open at Brent Cross shopping centre and parents have already been taking their kids for a day out in the sand and splash pools.

One of those parents is Tiktok user @Kiddoadventures who showed the day she spent at the beach with her daughter.

In the video, she said: "This is the beach at Brent Cross, and it's one of our favourite places to visit every year.

UK seaside town that's 'just like the Mediterranean'

On its website, The Beach Brent Cross claims to be "a celebration of summer".

It offers a sandy beach, splash pools and "a whole host of urban beach rides as entertainment".

It also says it is "one of the best things to do in London over the summer months".

Throughout the summer, the beach hosts events on weekends, including magic shows, bubble fun and puppet shows.

Other parents have visited the pop-up seaside before and heaped similar praise on it.

One of those was podcast presenter Lynnike Swerts, who wrote on her blog: "It was a fantastically fun, sweaty, but memorable day out with the family.

"We all had the best time and vowed to go back before the summer is out."

The beach isn't just a day out for kids however, with plenty of drinks on offer for adults who want to sit on a deck chair with a cold beverage.

Pints cost £6, while a double with a mixer will set you back £9.80.

Food like fish and chips, burgers and hot dogs are available too.
