LASHANA Lynch plays new character Nomi in the latest installment of James Bond, No Time To Die.

The film sees Nomi take over Bond's 007 number after the spy steps back from his duties – making her the first woman of colour to feature as an agent on-screen.

Who is Lashana Lynch?

Lashana Lynch is a 31-year-old British actress, who has been in movies such as Brotherhood and Fast Girls, as well as countless television series.

Born November 27, 1987, the film star graduated with a BA in acting from Arts Education Schools London.

Her film debut came in 2011 when she starred in the drama Fast Girls, before turning her attention to television roles.

She has had parts in BBC’s Silent Witness and Death in Paradise, as well as Still Star-Crossed, Atlantis, Bulletproof and Crims.

How will Lashana Lynch be revealed as the new 007?

Lashana's character Nomi will make her debut in No Time To Die, which will be released on September 30, 2021, after being delayed repeatedly due to the coronavirus pandemic.

According to a source, M will call out for 007 at the start of the film and Lashana will walk in.

The insider told Mail Online: "There is a pivotal scene at the start of the film where M says 'Come in 007', and in walks Lashana who is black, beautiful and a woman.

"It’s a popcorn-dropping moment. Bond is still Bond but he’s been replaced as 007 by this stunning woman."

However, Daniel Craig will remain as James Bond in the movie.

It will be the final outing of Craig, and there's already speculation over who should replace him as the lead, with some fans clamoring for a female Bond.

But controversially, both Craig and Lea Seydoux, who plays love interest Madeleine, have both come out against the idea.

What has Lashana Lynch said about No Time To Die?

Lashana spoke to Sky News about the progress she thinks the franchise is making, revealing that she believes the fact that she was cast is a sign that the series is becoming more inclusive.

"They're doing exactly the right thing," she said, "and I think they'll continue to do that in the future."
