Love Island has seen its ups and downs, but on Thursday evening's episode of the show we saw one of the hardest scenes as Jake and Liberty discussed their romance.

Liberty and Jake, who've been together since the start, had some serious conversations during the show.

A sobbing Liberty told Faye: "I don't want to stay living here with someone that doesn't like me or love me. I don't want to be fake to myself, and do that."

Liberty, 21, removes the bracelet Jake gave her when he asked her to be his girlfriend.

"I just don't feel like you love me for me and I want someone who loves me for me," Liberty tells Jake.

Jake presented Liberty with the magnetic bracelet that interlinks with his when he asked her to be his girlfriend.

Liberty thought she'd lost it during a trip to the Island Beach Club, but she managed to find it on the bathroom floor.

While another hoped that this might finally see Liberty ending things with Jake, saying: "You better dump him this time Liberty."

During a conversation with Faye, Liberty said: "I'd rather take off this bracelet."

The blonde beauty was then see walking back and forth while waiting for Faye to get her some tissues.

"I can't be fake and I pretend I'm happy with someone when I'm not," Liberty said in the beach hut through tears.

"I'm not taking anything away from Jake, he's an absolutely great guy but I just don't think we're write for each other," Liberty continued.
