The world’s largest Yorkshire pudding

Yorkshire pudding is considered a delicacy by many and is a cornerstone of British culinary heritage.

And now the largest Yorkshire pudding ever has been created, with a measured an area of 500 ft², which is about as big as twelve King Sized beds.

The record was broken by the members of the Skipton Round Table at Broughton Hall, Skipton, North Yorkshire, England.

Thinking outside of the box was key for this preparation, which took a gigantic amount of ingredients and several hours of preparation.

In total, the record-breaking recipe was made of 162 full bags of flour, 10kg (22lb) of salt, approximately 1500 eggs and 129 litres (28 gallons) of milk.

The ingredients didn’t end there, as it also required 145 litres (31 gallons) of water and a full tub of seasoning.

Woman wolfs down chicken feet

A woman set an impressive new world record after stuffing down more chicken feet in pure weight than four other competitors in an eating contest in South Africa last year.

Vuyolwethu Simanile chomped through a whopping 4.26 ounces (121g) of feet in 60 seconds to accomplish the impressive feat.

Each participant was given 300g of chicken feet in a bowl, with competitors only allowed to eat one foot at a time.

Vuyolwethu took a calm and collected approach to the battle, putting away foot after foot.

It is this tactic that helped her beat the four other foot-eaters in the battle for the crown.

Chowing down more than 32,000 Big Macs

Donald Gorske, 67, from Wisconsin, US, has eaten more than 32,000 McDonald's Big Macs over his lifetime.

He’s even kept the receipt for each one after his obsession with hamburgers kicked off in the 1970s – and now he boasts the Guinness World Record for eating the most McDonald's Big Macs.

Donald has broken his own record multiple times and as of August 2021, he had eaten 32,340 burgers.

Estimated crudely from today's cost of a McDonald's Big Mac sandwich in the US ($3.79), Donald's habit would have cost him $121,280 (£87,000) by the time he reached his 32,000th burger in February of 2021.

There are 550 calories in a Big Mac and Donald says he has stayed healthy by avoiding the fries and walking six miles every day.

Pizza Hut’s arena-sized pizza creation

According to the Guinness Book of World Records Pizza Hut officially made the 'World’s Largest Pizza' earlier this year.

The restaurant chain teamed up with YouTuber Airrack (Eric Decker) to create the staggering food offering, which covered nearly 14,000 square feet of the Los Angeles Convention Center.

The impressive creation consisted of 3,653 pounds of dough, 4,948 pounds of marinara sauce, more than 8,800 pounds of cheese and nearly 630,496 pepperonis.

In typical New York City style, the pepperoni pizza is comprised of foldable slices that can be consumed on the go.

A mobile broiler was used to cook the pie in parts before it was cut into 68,000 slices. David Graves, President of Pizza Hut US, verified that many of these were donated to various charities.

Jaffa Cake speed-eater

A bloke reckons he’s smashed a world record by devouring an incredible 102 Jaffa Cakes in a gut-busting speed eating competition.

With a pint of warm water in hand Max Stanford shoved two of the tasty treats down his gob at a time, chomping past his own record of 88.

The 35-year-old's total intake saw him ingest a whopping 4,692 calories in the process, making his recommended calorie intake for the day of 2.500 just a dot in his rearview mirror.

Even after all that nosh, Max added: "I've got some leftover that I'll have with a cup of tea later"
