With the UK in the middle of school holidays, some families are managing to enjoy their down-time with a little summer break. If you were one of the few that have yet to make plans, don’t worry.

No matter what the reason is, for you not booking a summer holiday yet – be it a tightened budget, feeling unconfident about travelling abroad post-pandemic, or that you quite simply forgot to book a holiday – we have some fantastic deals that could see you chill out for some much needed R&R.

Pontins family parks have some money-saving deals on staycations that you can book during the school summer holidays.

There are six Pontins holiday parks in the UK, four of which have summer deals, meaning you have a good selection of where to take your holiday. There are a variety of deals on short breaks lasting two- and four-night stays at Pontins.

If you need a longer break and feel a four-night stay is too short, there are deals available on seven night stays in self-catering accommodation at the sites spanning the breadth of the UK.

Here are the four parks included in the offer, with postcodes so you can quickly check on Google maps which is closest for you to travel to.

  • Brean Sands, Somerset – postcode TA8 2RJ

  • Camber Sands, Sussex – postcode TN31 7RL

  • Prestatyn Sands, North Wales – postcode LL19 7LA

  • Southport – postcode PR8 2PZ

The holiday parks are well-equipped and a popular choice with holidaymakers who love a good old UK staycation. Guests can enjoy live entertainment, fun activities including dips at indoor heated pools with slides, good food and family time at arcades, or near the seaside.

One of the biggest money-saving deals is at Pontins Prestatyn Sands with two-night breaks costing from £79, covering a stay from Friday August 19 to Saturday August 20. This deal works out at £9.88 per person per night.

Pontins can be a great way to enjoy a break without having to worry about all the chores associated with travel abroad, such as in-date passports, visas and vaccinations. Staying at a Pontins can also be good for the local economy whilst giving you the chance to see more of the beautiful UK countryside on your doorstep.

For example, if staying at Prestatyn Sands, you can explore the surrounding green countryside, as well as the grounds of Prestatyn Castle for a culture-packed family day out.

There are other ways to save money on holidays too. According to Money Saving Expert, package holidays and late deals are usually cheaper. However, always make sure you run your costs through a travel comparison site such as Kayak or Travel Supermarket to get the best deal.
