Her true colors are shining through.
Internet sensation JoJo Siwa shocked fans when she confirmed speculation that she’s part of the LGBTQ community earlier this year.
However, her sexual orientation has only made the 17-year-old all the more famous.
According to a new poll conducted by Insider, Siwa’s star quality has risen since she came out.
The news site took a survey (issued through the web app SurveyMonkey Audience) of more than 1,000 people to find out which influencers are the most famous, loved and hated.
Insider’s stats showed that the “Dance Moms” star is 9% better known now than she was in a previous survey conducted in December 2020.
In the December poll, 27% of participants knew who the pop star was.
About one-third of people loved Siwa’s persona, while a third also found her unfavorable.
Siwa recently said that she identifies as pansexual.
“I still don’t know what I am,” she told People. “It’s like, I want to figure it out. I like queer. Technically I would say that I am pansexual, because that’s how I have always been my whole life . . . just like, my human is my human,” she explained.
“But like, I don’t know, bisexual, pansexual, queer, lesbian, gay, straight. I always just say ‘gay,’ because it just kind of covers it, or ‘queer,’ because I think the keyword is cool.”
Siwa first made headlines in January when she shared a picture of herself on social media wearing a shirt that read, “BEST. GAY. COUSIN. EVER.” She later sat down for a lengthy Instagram video to explain herself.
“I have gotten the most endless amount of love and support . . . I’m really happy,” she said in the video.
“I want people to know that there is so much love in the world, and it is so incredible, and it’s so amazing, it’s wonderful.”
A few days after her big reveal, the influencer introduced her new girlfriend, Kylie Prew to the world via Instagram.
She tagged Prew, whom she met on a cruise ship, in her post and shared that she had “[been] my best friend for over a year and January 8th 2021 I got to start calling this exceptional human my Girlfriend.”
