EastEnders actor Ben Champniss has shared a peek inside his gorgeous home after welcoming his son Freddie.

The actor, 36, who plays market stall owner Shrimpy on the hit BBC soap, took to Instagram to announce that his bundle of joy had arrived on Saturday 24 July.

He wrote: "Introducing, Freddie Robert Champniss. Born Saturday 24th July at 5.40pm. Weighing 7lbs.

"Georgie is the coolest, most unbelievable person I know, and both her and Freddie are doing so well!! We’re so happy to finally meet you, Freddie! The final piece of the puzzle. Life made."

Meanwhile Ben has shared a look inside the home he shares with his partner Georgie with his 12,100 Instagram followers.

The living room features the perfect set-up for a night on the sofa with a TV situated on a sleek white stand alongside retro memorabilia.

We can see a chess table on the side cabinet along with a record player and plenty of gorgeous family pictures in an assortment of frames.

There is also a huge mirror mounted on the wall along with plush grey carpet to fit with the modern theme of the space.

Ben is also a big music fan and has framed Paul Weller memorabilia along with tributes to The Beatles and a light box which reads, 'bar is open', in a corner of their home.

The soap star recently transformed their bathroom using a simple DIY hack and applied stickers over the tiles to save cost and give a very effective finish.

We can see that the bathroom shelf has been accessorised with candles, a framed photograph of the couple and a miniature puffin.

It appears that Ben also enjoys relaxing in his garden when he is not in Albert Square which has been finished with artificial lawn, a potted tree and a patio dining set for al fresco meals.

Ben has also parked his very cool Mini Cooper complete with a Union Jack roof and mirrors to his social media and revealed his black front door which is framed with hanging bushes.

Ben announced he and Georgie were expecting their first child back in February, once again taking to Twitter

He wrote at the time: "Georgie and I are delighted to announce that we're having a baby!!

"We couldn't have wished for a better way to celebrate 10 years of being together and 3 years married!

"We can't wait to meet you baby boy!!!"
