The benefits I get just aren’t enough to cover my rent and bills, so I reach for my Visa to make up the shortfall of approximately £300 each month.

I’m looking for a new job. But I’m a 49-year-old man and everywhere I apply seems to want someone younger, with more up-to-date qualifications.

I’m getting into more and more debt – and nearing my card limits.

I know doing my food shopping on credit cards is not a sensible or sustainable way to live.

I’m worried that if I carry on like this, I’ll end up homeless.
