A LOTTERY winner who won a life-changing prize has revealed how he hit the jackpot thanks to a message from "beyond the grave".
Myke Brooke, from Dudley, said he prayed to a butterfly after his beloved step-mum passed away.
The cash-trapped winner was going through tough times when he won nearly £90,909 just weeks after he tried his luck.
Myke, from Pensett, lost his step-mum Kelly after a long-battle with cancer on January 2021.
After the tragic death, he started praying to butterflies to cope with the painful loss.
Myke revealed how he learnt about the surprising win three weeks after he saw the insect.

After he came learnt about the life-changing win he looked up to the sky and thanked Kelly for the "inspiration".
He told Coventry Live: "She loved butterflies and whenever I see one, I say, ‘Hi Kel’.
"And a few times I’ve looked at one and I’ve just said, ‘Kelly, help me in any way you can, help me'.
"I only rejoined three weeks ago. I’m feeling very, very lucky and I think it’s down to her."

The lucky punter was delighted when he got the call from Postcode Lottery – which didn't reveal the exact amount until they arrived on his doorstep.
Myke said: "It’s a life-changing amount of money and it couldn’t have come at a better time."
For the dad of two money was always a big challenge.
He became a carer for his 70 year old bedbound dad Mevin – after he was diagnosed with a heart-wrenching brain tumour.
The loving son revealed his plans to spend the cash on his dad to treat him and improve his quality of life.
Myke said: "He’s having a steak tonight, that’s what he wanted, and a little whisky.
“It’s been so hard, but this money will help so much.”
The loving son wanted to get another dog to bring company to his pouch Sirius, named after the Harry Potter character Sirius Black.
He said the win has brought Christmas early and it has been the best gift he has ever had.
He said: "I never got what I wanted at Christmas anyway because money was always tight.
"But it was an unbelievable shock and now I can get what I want for my own Christmas."
It comes as another couple hit the jackpot with a £1million win in the Euromillions lottery.
Ruth Gulbin and husband Rob cashed in the life-changing win after scoring one of the UK Millionaire Maker codes in July 2023.
Elsewhere, a woman was left in tears when they were banned from taking home a £176,000 lottery jackpot.
