Retailers and supermarkets often offer even bigger discounts on Black Friday to shoppers who have signed up to their loyalty schemes.

This year, Black Friday falls on Friday, November 26 and ends on November 29 with Cyber Monday.

Shoppers often wait for the sale – one of the biggest of the year – in order to bag their Christmas shopping for less.

Families are expected to splurge £9.4billion on tech, toys and more in this year's sales bonanza.

But you could get even bigger bargains if you know where to look for the 'secret' sales – we share the full list of retailers offering these discounts.

Tesco

If you're a Tesco shopper and you're wondering what deals are on this Black Friday, the supermarket is offering the biggest discounts to certain customers.

You'll have to be a Tesco Clubcard member in order to get access to Black Friday deals.

This is the supermarket's loyalty scheme that offers discounts and vouchers to members when you collect points.

It means you'll be able to bag Xbox games and hair-styling tools for up to half price off.

To become a Tesco Clubcard member, you can register online and set up an account.

You'll need to enter a few personal details, like your phone number and postcode, to create an account.

Tesco offers one point for every £1 you spend in store or online, including F&F clothing, or one point for every £2 spent on fuel at the supermarket.

That means 150 points gets you a £1.50 voucher.

Hotel Chocolat

Shoppers can get the heads up on early Black Friday deals at Hotel Chocolat if they've subscribed to the retailer's newsletter.

The Sun has spotted emails being sent to newsletter subscribers telling them about discounts they can get now – before anyone else.

Newsletter subscribers can get 15% off their haul when they spend £25 or more.

All they need to do is enter the code HOHOHO on the online checkout or present the barcode they will have been emailed in store.

The Sun tried the discount on the retailer's velvetiser – which is high in demand among shoppers – and got £14.99 knocked off the price, meaning it was £84.96 instead of £99.95.

The discount is available to use now, so you don't have to wait until tomorrow to get money off your haul.

You can sign up to the Hotel Chocolat newsletter on the retailer's website by entering your email address, home address and phone number.

H&M

If you're looking to stock up on wardrobe essentials, you might want to head to H&M this Black Friday.

You'll want to sign up to be a H&M member to get the early deals though.

You can get 30% everything online and in store if you are a H&M member right now as part of its early Black Friday deal.

The discount will be applied when you sign in as a member online if you're shopping on H&M's website for your haul.

If you join as a new member today, you can get an extra 10% off on top of this as well.

You can sign up online for free to become a member.

You'll need to enter a few personal details like your your date of birth.

Once you've signed up, you'll be emailed about rewards you can get as a member and discounts too.

Money saving blogger Joseph Seager, who runs the makemoneyonlinecreative.com website, said its worth getting signed up to the membership because "members can access to the Black Friday offerings before the general public".

Matalan

Signing up to Matalan's newsletter means shoppers can be the first to know about Black Friday discounts.

For example, shoppers will know all about the code you can use to get an extra 20% off almost everything in store and online during Black Friday.

To get the discount, enter the code NOV20 into the promotions code section when you get to the online checkout.

Or head to Matalan's Black Friday section of its website to download a voucher and use it in store to get cash off their haul.

You can use the discount on a number of items from homeware, kidswear and womenswear.

You can sign up to get email updates from Matalan on its website – all you need to do is put in your email address.

Card Factory

VIP members can get early access to Card Factory's Black Friday deals.

It means they can get offers like three for two Christmas card boxes and three for two personalised gifts – and get them before anyone else.

To sign up as a member, head to Card Factory's website.

You'll need to put some personal details in, such as your phone number and email address, to create an account.

Then, you'll be emailed about offers and discounts you can get when shopping at the retailer.

How else can I find out about secret Black Friday sales?

There are other ways to boost your savings on Black Friday.

The Sun has spoken to shoppers who have saved hundreds of pounds on their Black Friday hauls by using "secret" comparison websites like LovetheSales.com.

One woman saved £161 on her ASOS and Nasty Gal orders by using the site, slashing her bill in half.

The shopping comparison site tracks prices from more than six million products in fashion, homeware and tech.

It means you can find out which retailer is selling the product you want for the best price this Black Friday.

You can use other price comparison websites like PriceSpy and Google Shopping to see if the item you want is cheaper elsewhere as well.

However, beware of paying extra this Black Friday as nine in 10 Black Friday deals are cheaper or the same price before the sales, Which? said.

Here's the early Black Friday deals on offer at shops including Superdrug, Boots and Studio.

In bad news for shoppers, retailers including Next and The Entertainer could pause next day deliveries ahead of Christmas.
