Now that he’s chosen a surrogate to carry his second child, Jeff Lewis has reduced the asking price of his house by half a million dollars in hopes of offboarding the property before his baby is born.

In late August, the Flipping Out star originally put the Los Angeles property on the market for $5,995,000. He listed the estate, which is situated on the desirable Sunset Strip, with Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles stars Josh and Matt Altman.

However, after only a few days, the listing was removed. Since then, the home has been listed again, with a significantly reduced asking price. Now, Jeff is seeking $5,495,000 for the estate.

According to PEOPLE Magazine, Jeff discussed his reason for the drop in price on the most recent episode of his SiriusXM radio show Jeff Lewis Live. The reality star revealed that he’d chosen a surrogate to carry his second child. Knowing that another baby was on the way, Jeff felt pressured to sell the property and find the perfect home for his family.

“I’m not going to sit here and hang on to a little bit of money when I really need to get it moving,” he explained.

Jeff explained that even if he manages to sell the home by the end of the year, he’ll likely rent while he remodels whatever home he eventually buys. He added he hopes to complete everything by the end of 2022 when he foresees his second child being born.

According to TMZ, the Los Angeles home spans 3,947 square feet. It features three bedrooms, a spa-inspired master bathroom with a rainfall shower, panoramic city views, and a view of the ocean. Its other eye-catching elements include a wet bar, marble countertops, and a chef’s kitchen.

This isn’t the only property Jeff recently listed on the market. Last November, the star sold the Sherman Oaks, California home he used to share with his ex-boyfriend Gage Sherman for $5 million.

The 4,000 square feet home came with four-bedroom and five bathrooms and sat on a lot spanning 0.58 acres. As he did with his most recent listing, Jeff used Josh and Matt Altman.Jeff originally purchased the property with his ex-partner in 2015 and subsequently renovated it in preparation to start a family. The former couple welcomed a daughter, Monroe, the following year via surrogate. However, the couple ultimately split in February 2019 after a decade together. They share joint custody of their daughter.
