THERE'S a fast food chain that you may have never heard of that's "better than KFC" and its prices start at just 30p.

Morley's Chicken was founded in Sydenham, London, in 1985 by Kannalingham Selvendran and it now has more than 100 branches.

You can find shops across London, including Finsbury Park and London, and a little further a field in Brighton and Worthing.

In recent years, it's won a host of fans, including celebrities like Stormzy and YouTuber Amelia Dimoldenberg.

On social media, one Morley's customer said: "Haven’t eaten from KFC in years, Morley’s is sooooooo much better."

Another said the chain has "the best chips around."

You can get a chicken fillet burger meal, which includes a drink, a side and a dip, for £7.49.

This is the same price as a Fillet Tower Burger Meal at KFC.

Plus a pot of burger sauce, ketchup, chilli sauce and BBQ sauce costs just 30p.

But Morley's is slightly pricier for certain items, for example its large fries cost £2.79 but they are just £2.19 at KFC.

You can also get 20 hot spicy wings at KFC for £5.99, but 20 spicy wings cost £12.99 at Morley's on Uber Eats.

Of course, prices may vary from store to store so do shop around for the best deal.

It is a challenging time for many high street shops at the moment and the hospitality sector is no exception.

Just recently bakery chain Le Pain Quotidien closed all but one of its stores resulting in the loss of 250 jobs, after it fell into administration.

And Scarborough-based bakery Cooplands, which is the largest family-owned bakery chain in the UK, closed nine of its bakeries without warning.

Meanwhile Greggs revealed plans to open a 24-hour drive-thru service.

Other ways to save money on your shopping

It is always worth looking for little-known outlets and ways you can save some money on your shopping.

Too Good to Go is an app that allows you to rescue end-of-day food from many popular cafes, restaurants, shops and supermarkets that would otherwise go in the bin.

All you need to do is download and set your location on the Too Good To Go app and you can choose from nearby stores listing their unsold food at a reduced price.

Similar to Too Good To Go, you can search for nearby food to pick up based on your location through the Karma app.

You can then purchase meals at discounted prices.

However, unlike Too Good To Go, Karma will tell you what food you are getting, so there is even less chance of it going to waste.

No Waste is an excellent way to get organised, as you can scan your food and list it by expiry date, name or category.
