Brits are very protective of their delicacies – especially when it comes to the classic full English breakfast.

There is something about the traditional fry up that touches the hearts of British men and women that leads them to defend the rightful plating of the big breakfast.

So when this Canadian had a go at whipping up their version, they were brutally mocked for their efforts.

Forgetting all of the trimmings apart from lightly toasted bread, beans and sausages, the Canadian was off to a bad start.

The three piece fry up was bound to rile Brits without evening looking at a picture of it.

Shared onto Reddit the Canadian bravely asked Brits: “Am I doing this right? Can I put the sausages in with the beans? I used Heinz!”

Attached to the post was the questionable ‘full English’ breakfast which consisted of unbuttered toast that was smothered with a whole can of dry baked beans.

Plated separately, two sausages sat beside alone from the big plate of beans and toast – a far cry from the eggs, bacon, hash browns and everything in between that is usually seen on a fry up!

Many Brits saw this as a perfect opportunity to mock the Canadian for their attempt – and even branded the toast “anaemic.”

One person slammed: “Dude sausage segregation is not cool.”

Another user added: “Toast looks raw.”

A third person mocked: “Illegal to have toast that raw, and unacceptable to have separate bangers, get em on the plate son.”

Someone else voiced: “Jesus Christ! How many tins of beans do you have there?!Toast needs to be more golden and covered in butter. Sausages should be on the same plate.

“The individual components are almost there. I would not revoke your passport for this, but I might give you side eye.”

As a fifth person chuckled: “Anaemic toast.”

However, others were not so harsh on the Canadian and gave them suggestions on how to improve their lacklustre brekkie.

One user advised: “Get those sausages mixed in, and toast the bread a bit more. Also, 2 sausages is not enough, that's easily calling for 4/5."

As this Brit suggested: “For the love of god please put them sausages in the beans. Apart from that it's 10/10 from me. Lightly done toast, sausages not burned, Heinz beans… Her Maj herself would be proud!”

And, a breakfast enthusiast shared: “It all goes on the same plate, son. Don't worry – you will learn. And get some butter on that toast.”
