BOOTS' Christmas advert features the heartwarming story of a girl's journey to the North Pole – and there's one iconic and hilarious moment.

The ad, entitled "Thank you, Santa", chronicles the girl and mother's quest to get a gift to the pot-bellied figure.

Armed with a Boots shopping bag, the pair cross land, sea and air, helped along the way by a number of kind strangers who are offered gifts as a thanks.

A pilot receives a Dyson Airwrap, while a train conductor receives a Benefit Volumizing Mascara, but the finale of the clip conjures up the most iconic moment.

The pair reach their intended destination, finding Santa's very own chimney to drop a present down, but it's not the kind of gift you'd except – a pair of travel flight socks.

Directed by award-winning director Sam Brown, the ad is set to the soundtrack "I'm Gonna Get There Somehow" by Val Doonican and will air for the first time on ITV this evening.
