Removing mould from patios and driveways can be difficult but it is possible to eradicate it without hours of scrubbing.
Luckily, fans of cleaning sensation Mrs Hinch, whose full name is Sophie Hinchliffe, have shared their simple solution cleaning paving.
The cleaning and lifestyle influencer has more than 4.6 million followers on Instagram and often shares her garden and home tips online.
Fans of hers have taken to social media in recent years to share their own hacks for solving common household problems.
On one such group, Facebook user Kay Sayers asked: “Just had a quote to clean my block paved driveway and a small amount of path slabs for £650.
“What is the most effective thing to use on paths and driveways that gets rid of the black mould please?”
The post was inundated with responses but the most popular suggestion was to use Wet & Forget.

“If it’s really bad, as others have said, buy yourself a little Karcher and get going. So therapeutic watching all that muck getting washed off!”
Andie Stevenson replied: “I spray with Wet & Forget and leave for a couple of weeks then I jet wash. Much cheaper than paying someone and weirdly satisfying!”

Other suggestions from Mrs Hinch fans included using patio magic, bleach, washing powder and a pressure washer.

Noleen Reynolds commented: “Buy cheap large bio detergents. Wet the area, sprinkle all over the patio and drive. Lightly brush and leave for an hour.
“Buy a power hose and wash away. It removes everything. Usually, shop brand is best.”
Shona Graham replied: “If you don’t have a pressure washer, then a bucket of warm water and bleach and just scrub and pour over. Repeat until all good.”
