Food recalls occur when a product is deemed unsafe or potentially unsafe for consumers. This may be due to undeclared ingredients, packaging issue or contamination.
Cranswick Country Foods are recalling several products containing chicken because salmonella has been found in some of the chicken used to manufacture these products.
Additional products are being recalled during the investigation.
Cranswick Country foods is stocked by major retailers such as Aldi, Sainsbury’s, Waitrose, Tesco, M&S and Amazon.
These supermarkets are recalling several sandwiches which include chicken.
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) issued a risk statement.
“The products listed above may be contaminated with salmonella. Symptoms of salmonella usually include fever, diarrhoea and abdominal cramps.
“Action taken by the company Cranswick Country Foods is recalling the above products. Point-of-sale notices will be displayed in all retail stores that are selling these products. These notices explain to customers why the products are being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the above products.”

Kinder
Kinder has decided to recall a selection of European labelled Kinder products as they may contain salmonella. They were manufactured at the Arlon factory in Belgium. Some products, which were intended for the European market only and have already been recalled in Europe, have been imported into the UK by UK importers not linked to Ferrero.
