A roast chicken rub made with Bisto gravy and other herbs has been called “salivating”. The recipe was devised by the London-based TikTok account Caught Snackin’.

Caught Snackin’, made up of three chef friends, has used gravy rub to infuse flavour into chicken in a clever way.

By combining a mix of common kitchen ingredients with 2 tbsp of Bisto Best Chicken Gravy Granules, Caught Snackin’s flavoursome gravy rub guarantees a “perfect roast chicken every time”, so they claim.

Using this to smother a whole chicken, Caught Snackin’ recommends placing the chicken over the veg on a “WWE cage” over vegetables.

This will save space in the oven and infuse flavours into the veg.

With over 13.3k engagements and 332.9k views, TikTok users have been going crazy on the hack with one commenting “Salivating for time-saving chicken. Jeeeez!!!”.

Some users were even sharing their own hacks “Use Bisto on your roast potato’s bro it’s a game-changer”.

  • One tbsp rosemary
  • One tbsp thyme
  • Two tsp garlic powder
  • Two tbsp Bisto Best Chicken Gravy Granules
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 40g butter
