Cadbury: How their classic Dairy Milk chocolate is made

Many people’s favourite chocolate bars have been discontinued over the years, with a recent one leaving Cadbury fans “sad”.

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, user Amy asked the official Cadbury account whether they still made the Peanut Caramel Crisp bar.

This chocolate bar consisted of gooey caramel with plenty of crunchy nuts and puffed crispies.

A spokesperson for the company replied: “Peanut Caramel Crisp Bars have been discounted. However, we still have lots of other chocolatey treats to try.”

However, one saddened follower tweeted: “Cadbury’s Peanut Caramel Crisp is the best chocolate bar they have created in years.”

A third said: “I’m so gutted, hopefully they will bring out something similar, it was so tasty.”

The chocolate bar was first introduced back in 2017 and quickly became a favourite sweet treat for many people.

At the time of the launch, Cadbury’s Katrina Davidson said: “The UK is going nuts for nuts.

The news comes after Nestle announced plans to discontinue their iconic Caramac chocolate bar after 60 years of it being on the shelves.

Known for its signature yellow and red wrapping, the bar proved to be incredibly popular due to its unique sweet taste.

A statement from Nestle read: “Unfortunately we had to withdraw Caramac from our range as sales were relatively low. It was a difficult decision for us because we’re proud of all our products and don’t like to disappoint our consumers.

“We are very sorry to disappoint fans of Caramac. There has been a steady decline in its sales over the past few years and we had to make the difficult decision to discontinue it.”

One X, formerly Twitter, user responded to the news, saying: “Just heard the devastating news that #Caramac bars are to be discontinued… My mum loves them…

“Quite partial myself. Will have to get down to the local shop and stock up!”
