THE Queen beamed yesterday as she received a standing ovation at the Royal Windsor Horse Show.

The 96-year-old Monarch looked delighted for her first public appearance, after she pulled out of Monday’s State Opening of Parliament with mobility problems.

And she looked delighted when her horse Balmoral Leia was named winner of the Highland Class 64 event, and later supreme champion.

Despite health concerns, The Monarch appeared well and spent almost an hour at the parade ring close to her Windsor Castle home, and spent a long period chatting to retired racehorse trainer Henrietta Knight.

Colin Brooks, chairman of the show’s committee, shared a joke with the Queen and her head groom Terry Pendry was on hand to offer his advice.

Kate Middleton enjoys ‘relatable’ healthy diet

Kate Middleton has been said to enjoy a “relatable” diet but still enjoys a “cheesy pasta” made with her children.

Behavioural expert Darren Stanton said on behalf of Coffee Friend: “Kate’s favourites are much more in line with what a lot of people would eat these days and she’s partial to trying new food trends, such as a raw food diet, plant-based meals or matcha in her coffee or green smoothies.

“However, her diet consists of a lot of the nation’s old favourites too, like curry and sticky toffee pudding – it’s hearty food and very relatable.

“Kate’s food tastes could suggest why she is arguably one of the most popular Royal Family members, she is in touch with what the masses like, she can relate to them and them to her.”

Claims Andrew & Harry could be fuelling number of royal stalkers

According to the former head of Royal Protection, the negative publicity surrounding Prince Andrew and Prince Harry could have sparked an increase in the number of people stalking the Royal Family.

Former head of Royal Protection Dai Davies told the Mirror: “The vast majority of people fixated with the Royal Family are harmless but there are always concerns that their obsession could take a worrying turn.

“In most cases the police can use mental health legislation to help those that if left untreated could pose a risk.

“It would not surprise me in the least if the negative publicity that has surrounded Prince Andrew and Prince Harry has caused an increase in the numbers of individuals that have come to the notice of the police.”

William and Kate adopted different parenting style

Prince William and Kate Middleton have adopted “very different parenting styles” from the Queen and Prince Charles, according to a body language expert.

Darren Stanton analysed Kate and William’s first appearance in Glasgow yesterday.

Speaking on behalf of Slingo, Mr Stanton said: “It’s very clear from the couple’s body language that they have adopted very different parenting styles to that of the Queen and Prince Charles.

“Kate and Will were quite happy to sit cross-legged on the floor, interact with other parents and play with the children.

“Such hands-on behaviour suggests a lot about how they intend to raise their children, with the couple intending to be 100 percent around for their children while juggling their Royal commitments as senior Royals.

“Kate’s expression is one of sheer enjoyment when she is around children and there’s no question she enjoys being a parent very much.

“Looking at their first appearance in Glasgow, it’s clear Kate and William have an authenticity about them, a confidence and a genuine happiness, as well as the ability to create trust and rapport with individuals they have never met before.”

Will Harry heal his rift with William at the Jubilee?

A royal expert has cast doubt on Prince Harry’s plans to use the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee trip to heal his rift with Prince William.

According to Vanity Fair journalist Erin Vanderhoof, the rift between the two royal brothers is “really deep and really personal” and has only gotten worse in recent months.

Ms Vanderhoof explained: “Meghan and Harry together are going to use the Jubilee as an opportunity to make some family moments and introduce the kids to the rest of the family.

“And they will try at least make sure they understand that can still figure something out in the future.

“But our reporting for the podcast shows that the rift between Harry and William is really deep and really personal.

“It will take both of them coming to a point where they want to make up before that is possible behind closed doors.”

And, sources have hinted that the Duke of Cambridge is “wary” about his brother’s decision to join the Monarch’s weekend celebrations.

A source told The Sun: “‘William wants to talk to Harry to try to heal the rift between them but he’s fearful it will find its way onto Netflix, Oprah or into Harry’s upcoming book.”

William hugging elderly man is an ‘authentic & sincere’ moment (1/2)

Body language expert Darren Stanton has analysed the sweet moment Prince William was seen hugging an elderly man during his appearance in Glasgow with Kate Middleton.

Speaking on behalf of Slingo, Darren said:

“During his appearance in Glasgow, Prince William was seen hugging an emotional elderly man as he interacted with crowds. Such a moment marks an unprecedented demonstration of just how authentic, empathetic and open Kate and William are.

“As per Royal protocol, the Queen will never shake hands with anyone with bare hands. You’ll notice if she’s shaking hands with another person, she will always be wearing gloves and it’s one of the traditions she has adopted throughout her reign.

“William embracing the elderly man is a rare outpouring of genuine emotion from a senior Royal and you can tell from the man’s face it was one of true elation, with the moment sure to stick with him for the rest of his days. This was a real authentic connection and not one faked for the sake of being in the public arena. You can see the sincerity in William’s face as he engulfed his arms around the man, with the Prince not fazed about being in such close proximity. Kate’s reaction, meanwhile, is one of pure joy and her face is totally engaged, flashing a huge smile, as she witnessed the sweet embrace.”

Harry and Meg’s plan to return to Frogmore Cottage for Jubilee

PRINCE Harry and Meghan plan to return to their first family home next month when they come back to the UK for the Queen’s Jubilee.

Heightened security measures are already being put in place near Windsor’s Frogmore Cottage in anticipation of the couple’s arrival with their two young children.

Despite living in an £11million mansion in LA, the Sussexes still lease the property — their home before moving to the States.

It is currently occupied by Harry’s cousin Princess Eugenie, her husband Jack Brooksbank and son August.

It is expected Eugenie, who remains close to the Sussexes, will open up the guest bedrooms to accommodate them on their return.

The Queen will be surrounded by a 'ring of steel'

THE QUEEN will be surrounded by a a “ring of steel” and Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been told by royal aides to not “even think” about using the Monarch as content, a royal expert has said.

Royal expert, Russell Myers, says Buckingham Palace aides have put a strict cordon around the Queen.

Mr Myers told the US outlet Today: “There is an absolute ring of steel around the Queen in terms of her advisors.

“I mean, they certainly would be advising Harry and Megan to not even think about it for a second, but who knows what they will do?

“They would definitely have been advised not to speak to Oprah Winfrey not to speak to Gayle King not to speak to the American journalists last week and yet they still keep on doing it.

“I mean, it makes you wonder how much the family can take anymore and I’m sure Prince William has got his head in his hands as Prince Charles as every time they pop up on the television.”

    Protection is a ‘constant worry’

Prince William and Kate Middleton’s families' safety has come under scrutiny.

It was revealed that the Royal family were tormented by 170 stalkers in 2021 and 10 of which were considered at the “highest danger level” by the police.

Royal expert Duncan Larcombe told OK!: “Kate’s children’s protection is a constant worry for her but she just has to have faith that they have these expert police officers.

“Over the years they have altered and upped the security. After the 7/7 bombings in London, the number of protection officers looking after William almost doubled so they do monitor the threat constantly.”

He continued: “This will do Harry no end of good to be able to demonstrate the need for security.

“These numbers will be based on police intelligence, they’re not just plucked out of the sky.

“They do re-enforce the fact that Harry is a target whether he’s part of the Royal family or not and so are his children.”

The Queen has ‘immense faith’ in Charles

THE QUEEN showed she has ‘immense faith’ in Prince Charles and it is becoming obvious that the ‘weight of service is too much to carry alone’, a royal expert has claimed.

Prince Charles delivered the Queen’s Speech in Parliament yesterday after Her Majesty was forced to pull out.

According to The Sun’s legendary royal photographer, Arthur Edwards, the Queen has huge amounts of trust in Prince Charles.

Arthur said: For the first time the monarch passed on this most sacred of royal duties to her eldest son, confirming the immense faith she has in the Prince of Wales.”

“And it is becoming increasingly obvious that the weight of our sovereign’s 70 years of service to the nation are now too much for her to carry alone,” he added.

The Duke of Cornwall, made a shorter-than-usual speech at Parliament – in what many believe to have been our first true glimpse of what life will be like when he becomes king.

Arthur went on to say: “We are in a transition from Queen to the future King.

“As the Queen watched on television as her eldest son delivered the Government’s wishes, she must have felt the monarchy was in safe hands.”

This is the first time in 59 years that the Queen has failed to attend the State Opening of Parliament.

Duke & Duchess of Cambridge are huge champions of mental health

William said the past two years of the pandemic have reminded people of the importance of human relationships.

New research coinciding with the message showed that more than one in 10 young people (11%) feel lonely often or always, making them the loneliest of all age groups, according to Community Life Survey data.

A YouGov poll also found that 18 to 24-year-olds are also the least comfortable asking for help, with six out of 10 (59%) saying they would not feel comfortable doing so if they feel lonely.

Nearly seven out of 10 (67%) in the same age group feel loneliness is not taken seriously by society, but 71% also feel comfortable helping someone else to overcome loneliness.

The 2022 Minute, created by Radiocentre, the industry body for commercial radio in the UK, and The Royal Foundation, is in support of Better Health – Every Mind Matters, which offers advice to tackle loneliness and provides NHS-approved tips to help people look after their mental wellbeing.

Nigel Huddleston, minister for civil society and youth at the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, said: "The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are great champions of mental health awareness and we're hugely grateful to have their support through the Mental Health Minute.

"We know loneliness is having a disproportionate impact on our young people and this campaign offers easy to use guidance people can follow to improve their wellbeing."
