BEING a mum to 22 kids means that there is always something to do around the house as Sue Radford knows all too well.

However, while the mum of Britain’s biggest family might have more chores to do than the average parent, she also has a handy army of little helpers on hand to muck in.

And Sue, 46, says that when it comes to helping out her kids start early.

Speaking to Fabulous, Sue says: “The kids are really good with chores, they take the rubbish out, do the dishwasher and just generally helping.

“I think they’ve realised I can’t do everything and I do need them to help a little bit.

“Even the likes of Bonnie and Archie, who are only three and four they help by putting their toys away and tidying their bedrooms which is a big help.”

But even with her youngsters helping Sue is still overwhelmed with housework on the daily.

And the mum has come up with a strict schedule to make sure everything runs as smoothly as possible

“I have a routine and I have to stick to it,” she says.

“I try and get the housework done in the morning and then I have the afternoons free to do what I like.

“If I don’t get it done in the morning I am running around like a headless chicken.

“I start off by hoovering all of the floors, then I will get all of the washing out of the bedrooms and do the laundry.

“Then I will mop all the floors and do the bathrooms and then I will carry on with more laundry, drying it all putting it all away. It takes forever.”

While Sue admits that she has considered hired help, she is quite possessive over her cleaning.

She adds: “I have considered getting a cleaner, it would be nice as this house is so big and it takes a lot of work to clean it.

“But I do quite like to do the house myself, I must admit.”

Having spent the majority of her day cleaning and with husband Noel running the family bakery all day the couple try and set aside a little time every day just for themselves.

“Between 9pm and 10:30pm that’s generally our time, but besides that we don’t really get any downtime,” Sue says.

“Being self employed and working long hours you do have to take the time off otherwise you’re just working yourself into the ground.”

Sue and Noel will have been married for 30 years in September and the couple say that it is taking time for themselves that keeps their marriage going.

“We have a date night at least once every couple of months, to be Noel and Sue rather than just mum and dad,” she says.

“Noel and I are just soulmates, we were just meant to be together, we always know what the other is going to say before either of us say it.

“Our relationship works really well because we’re so in tune.”

Sue and Noel, 51, are parents to Chris, 32, Sophie, 28, Chloe, 26, Jack, 24, Daniel, 22, Luke, 21, Millie, 20, Katie, 19, James, 18, Ellie, 16, Aimee, 15, Josh, 14, Max, 13, Tillie, 11, Oscar, 10, Casper, nine, Hallie, six, Phoebe, five, Archie, four, Bonnie, three, and Heidie, one.

Sadly the couple's 17th child Alfie was still born on July 6, 2014.

The Radfords have teamed up with EE to launch its House of Fibre, a house powered fully by EE’s Full Fibre broadband, which gives you the strength to connect 100 devices at once.

The House of Fibre is coming to additional cities across the UK in March and April.
