Kate Middleton paid a visit to a London air cadet base this afternoon alongside Prince William. The royal couple both opted for black ensembles, as they continue to mourn following the death of Prince Philip.
In true style, the Duchess of Cambridge opted for a sleek take on a classic black coat.
The calf-length ebony coat offers a sophisticated shape, with shoulder pads and a synched waist.
It was complete with eye-catching gold buttons down the centre.
From the high-end designer Dolce & Gabbana, the coat retails at approximately £2,349.
For those eager to emulate her look, the item has sadly sold out online.
The garment is a wardrobe staple of the Duchess, having previously been pictured wearing it in 2017.
Kate teamed the coat with a pair of simple yet elegant black pointed toe heels by Tod’s.
She also carried a small black clutch bag which, at one point, the Duke of Cambridge held on her behalf while she tried her hand at a flight simulator used by the RAF for elementary flying training.

Kate’s brunette locks fell loosely around her shoulders, with a slight curl.
Meanwhile, she kept her makeup simple and elegant, opting for nude tones and a touch of black eyeliner.
Aside from a simple pair of pearl earrings, she refrained from wearing any jewellery allowing the coat’s prominent buttons to shine.
The Duke of Cambridge looked equally as dapper by her side, dressed in an all-black suit.
He opted for a pair of brown suede boots, and a simple silver watch on his wrist.
When indoors, the royal couple both wore black facemasks in line with Covid-safe measures.
The trip to 82 East Ham Squadron Air Training Corps was particularly poignant as it held a special place in Prince Philip’s heart.
The Duke of Edinburgh was honorary Air Commodore-in-Chief of the squadron for 63 years.
He later passed the role down to Kate in 2015 who now holds the title of Commandant-in-Chief.
During the visit, the air cadets held a special “Three Cheers Salute” in honour of Prince Philip who earned his RAF wings in 1953.
He was also a keen pilot during his years.
