A DRESS that looks good on everyone no matter their shape or size, surely that can't be true.

However, stylist Abby McHale reveals the style of dress you should be looking for when shopping that is bound to suit all.

Finding a dress to suit everyone may sound like a tricky task however, there is one style of dress above all others that seems to tick the boxes for every shape and size – an empire line dress.

Usually a dress of this style is lined underneath the bust before flowing down from that point.

This means that it skims over your stomach and hips, but still cinches you in and gives you a silhouette.

On the top half of the dress the lining underneath the bust gives structure to those with a larger chest, but can also add shape to those with smaller boobs.

Depending on the style of the dress you can also vary with the neckline depending on what suits you best, with some having a v-neck as opposed to a round neck at the top.

Usually empire line dresses have a capped sleeve, which again looks great on everyone and a good option for someone who may want to cover just the tops of their arms.

They don’t have to be just mid length either.

If you prefer a shorter dress then this style also comes in mini versions, which is great for the summer months.
