AFTER getting fed up with having no privacy, a couple took it upon themselves to build their own wall and people are all saying the same thing.

Taking to her social media accounts, Kayla Cummings documented how she  and her partner did the project, which appeared to take a few weeks to complete.

She first shared a ‘before’ snap of their patio, which was elevated by one step and was made up of wood.

And the after saw the space transformed with white tiles, a corner sofa and a privacy wall that was adorned with hanging planters and fairy lights.

They started by drilling large holes into the soil right by their patio, where they placed wooden support beams into and secured with concrete.

She then spent a long time cutting her pine wood into halves so that they were thinner.

As this was being done, she and her partner painted the standing support beams in a dark grey colour as she explained: “We did a lot of prep last night!”

They then set about securing the pine slats onto the beams.

“Turning a piece of wood on its side to use as a space between each board,” she explained on her Instagram.

After a great deal of effort and time, the fence was finally finished and all she had to do was stain it.

“The wall is done on the patio, it looks so freaking good,” she told viewers before adding that she stained the pine at 1 am in the morning.

When one person on her TikTok, where she's known as @itshoneydone, asked where she got the hanging planters from, she replied: “IKEA! The rings are from Amazon though”.

And one her storefront, she linked her fairy lights out to Home Depot. Similar ones can be found at Home Bargains in the UK for just £10.

People were left amazed by the transformation and couldn't help but say the same thing.

One person wrote: “Freaking beautiful! What a great spot to wind down from a busy day!”

Another said: “I am unashamedly jealous because I have a giant, rocky, empty backyard! Time to pull my sleeves up”.

While a third added: “I love this!!” followed by three heart emojis.
