WE'RE the first to admit that there's nothing glamorous or fun about scrubbing the grout in your bathroom – but the longer you put it off, the worse it gets.
That said, one savvy mum believes she's "cracked the code" for getting her filthy shower grout looking brand new again – and it couldn't be easier.
Posting on the Facebook group Mums Who Clean, the woman explained how she had tried "every product" she could think of on the grim grout in her rented home.
In a last-ditch attempt to clean the grout, the mum decided to mix bleach and bicarbonate of soda and was stunned by how well it worked.
"Mums! I've cracked the code," she wrote. "This took only a few minutes and not a lot of effort. I couldn't believe my eyes."
While the bicarbonate of sofa tackled the build up of mould, the bleach restored the grout's white colour.
Although it's fine to combine it with bicarbonate of sofa, you should never mix bleach with other cleaning products for health and safety reasons.
Giving members a step-by-step guide, the woman explained how she mixed the products until they formed a paste and applied it to the grout using an old toothbrush.
She added: "In most places, I didn't even leave it. Just a light brushing, it was gone in an instant."

Unsurprisingly, the post racked up over 1,2000 "likes" and cleaning fans labelled her a "genius".
One replied: "I'm off to go scrub everything in the house!"
Another added: "Well I know what I'm doing while the kids are at school."
A third wrote: "Will give it a go!"
