How a-grout that

Posting on the Facebook group Mums Who Clean, a woman revealed how to transform filthy grout with just two ingredients.

She began by mixing bleach and bicarbonate of soda into a paste and then, using an old toothbrush, applied it to the grout.

Bleach will restore the white colour of the grout whilst the bicarbonate of soda tackles the mould.

To her post, she added: "In most places, I didn't even leave it. Just a light brushing, it was gone in an instant."

Show-er the way

Posting on her TikTok channel, alittleaboutalot, mum-of-four Jeannie, shared how to keep your shower clean so you don't have to do a giant deep clean.

Using a Dishmatic sponge, she fills it up with half washing liquid and half vinegar.

Jeannie uses the solution to wipe down the surfaces after every use to prevent mould building up.

After applying the solution Jeannie simply washes it away with water.

She adds: "I have it in the kids bathroom too and after they take a bath, the older ones will do a quick scrub and it'll keep the bath clean too."

Mist-ified by mirrors

TikTok user lenacleansup showed how to keep bathroom mirrors from getting foggy even with the hottest of showers.

Lena uses Dawn Platinum Powerwash spray but any old dish soap will do.

The hack is super simple to do, just spray your mirror with dish soap and buff it in.

The next time you have a shower the mirror will not fog up.

To demonstrate it works, Lena left the bottom half of the mirror with no dish soap and turned the shower on, the bottom half instantly began to fog up whereas the top stayed crystal clear.

Users who commented on her video also said it works really well with shaving foam.

No rub-a-dub tubs

The self-proclaimed cleaning queen of TikTok, Vanesa Amaro, revealed howcleaning a non-slip bathtub can be made easy, using the right products.

To start with the bathtubs non-slip flooring is stained and covered in muck, but by the time Vanesa is finished with it, it looks brand new.

Vanesa said: ""You can use any product you want, such as Scrub Daddy's Power Paste, you can also use Soft Scrub, Barkeepers, Ajax, whatever you want."

Once she applies her product she uses a Magic Eraser to scrub the flooring.

In a matter of seconds, the grim instantly lifts and the bathtub is sparkling.

Vanesa adds that you should wet the tub a little bit before getting to work to make the product easier to disperse.

A royal flush

A cleaning expert from Australia, known as thebigcleanco, has also revealed how to clean your toilet properly.

She explains that while most people use a disinfectant spray for their toilet, which is a good thing, they may not actually be using the product correctly.

That means that no matter how many times you think you have 'cleaned' it, it may be festering with germs.

She said: Just because you're using a disinfectant spray does not mean you're disinfecting anything.

"You need to read the labels. These supermarket sprays need to be left on the surface for 10 whole minutes to kill any germs."

So the next time you give your bathroom a clean, make sure to spray your toilet first and let it sit for ten minutes, or however long the product tells you to, and then give it a wipe down.
